Ottawa Modern Bungalow Renovation

We designed and construction managed this update to a modern era bungalow in Ottawa's Copeland Park neighborhood. Ottawa Modern Bungalow Renovation

Our second Copeland Park modern renovation brings a fresh contemporary layer to this ca. 1960 bungalow. Thoughtful use of colour, art, and unique finishes revitalizes the mid-century charm, blending timeless design with modern elegance. Designed and construction-managed by Chris Hoyt, Brett Shaw, and Elnaz Azizi, with construction by Shafiq Urahman and Trehane Carpentry, and photography by Aria MacDonald.

Ottawa Net Zero Heritage Home Renovation

The owner of this west Ottawa heritage home asked ch architects to study the feasibility of a net zero renovation. 

Ottawa Victorian Rowhouse Renovation

2003 and 2023

ch architects renovated the exterior of this 1890 Centretown rowhouse in 2003 and the interior 20 years later. 

Capitol Hill Victorian Rowhouse Renovation

2008

Renovating this historic East Capital Street Rowhouse in Washington DC involved rehabilitating every space and adding an 'English Basement' apartment.

The project includes a new scheme for exterior cladding, a new entrance, and interior updates that are intended to help the owner with attracting and retaining new tenants. Thorah Island- Lakeside Cottage Renovation

This project involved revitalizing a cherished 1950s lakeside cottage for a multi-generational family. Our team expanded the porch, added dormers that double as cozy sleeping lofts, and reinforced the foundation to ensure the structure stands strong for generations to come.
