Quebec Lake Cottage
2023 - unbuilt
These sophisticated Ottawa clients owned a dilapidated cottage on a spectacular pristine Quebec Lake. We brought Scandinavian and Japanese inspiration to the project, creating a new building to host their family ski and summer vacations. The exterior material is a "toasted" wood cladding; created through the traditional Japanese technique known as Shou Sugi Ban. This process enhances the wood's durability and provides a unique aesthetic. Project team: Christopher Hoyt, Elnaz Azizi.
